Call to Action: Stop The Make Congress Drive Union-Made Act
U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin and U.S. Representative Haley Stevens, both representing Michigan, introduced The Make Congress Drive Union-Made Act. This bill would require vehicles purchased or leased by members of Congress using their official budget to be made by unionized autoworkers.
This is unfair to the over half of U.S. autoworkers who are not a member of a union and to every employee of Toyota.
We employ over 50,000 team members who help design, build and sell those cars and trucks.
Members of Congress wouldn’t be able to drive vehicles that are only on the roads because of the work by their own constituents. This is unfair and wrong. Congress should be supportive of all made in the U.S. vehicles – not a select few from select companies.
It is critical that your representatives hear from you that the work of our team members should not be valued less than any other American autoworker.
Send a letter to your members of Congress telling them to oppose The Make Congress Drive Union-Made Act.
Thank you for your continued support.
